MEET UPDATES

The Spring Classic meet will start on time and with the help of certified officials, it is one of the efficiently run meets of the season. We have some great vendors this year and as usual a commemorative t-shirt for the first place winners, medals for the top 3 and ribbons for the next 3 finishers.

As a USATF sanctioned event run by USATF certified officials, it will be a qualifier to meet standards for:

The USA Track & Field National Championships meet in Des Moines, Iowa.

The Jr. Nationals Championship meet in Des Moines, Iowa to pick the National Jr. Team that competes in World Jr. Nationals in Moncton, Canada this summer.

The USATF Youth Outdoor Nationals in Lisle, Illinois, a national meet attended by top contenders for the Jr. Olympic Track & Field Nationals.

We will have some contenders in the Open Division; some trying to set qualifying marks for national and international competition. We have a team from England and an individual from Canada with great times in the 100m, 200m and 400m. So if you know of any adult athletes trying to meet a performance standard, let them know about this meet.

Although registration is open until Thursday, I suggest you get them in by Wednesday.  Entries received by Wednesday will have their names on the back of the commemorative T-shirt.

Also, to answer some questions, we will continue to have the popular Parent/Coaches Relay. No cost to enter a team, but you do have to email us your entry and sign a waiver. We will also run a 4x400m relay for divisions Bantam through Open - just email us your team members (all team members must have a race number) and age division separately from the CoachO entry process to cfgliders_classic@yahoo.com.  Also, email us there if you have any questions.
