Click here to download the Microsoft Word version of the Gliders college scholarship application form. Athletes entering college in the fall or who are in college currently are eligible to apply for a scholarship. The program was originally formed to help fund computer and technology related equipment; however, the award can be used to cover tuition and other school expenses. Preference is given to college seniors, juniors, sophomores and freshmen respectively. Graduate students may also apply. The Scholarship Program is primarily funded by proceeds from the Gliders Speed Golf Tournament, The Gliders Spring Track Classic, The Track Shack Foundation, The Glatting Foundation and and many other donations. Athletes will be awarded scholarships in varying amounts depending on number of years a Glider, volunteering for Glider events, grades, community service, leadership roles, participation in school clubs and other accomplishments in academics, the arts and athletics. Athletes can print out and submit the application in May with a deadline of December 15th to return it completed along with a resume by mail to the Gliders Corporate address on our home page. CENTRAL FLORIDA GLIDERS 2011 COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM Congratulations to these students that received a 2011 Central Florida Gliders Academic Scholarship. $1,800 was granted this year. Melissa Marquez New College of Florida, Marine Biology Our college scholarship program was started over 10 years ago to support Glider athletes that went on to college, grad school, law and med school. It was originally intended to help the students with their high tech needs, but the grant can be used for any academic expense. The awards are based on number of years a Glider, volunteering for Glider events, leadership roles, participation in community events and clubs as well as athletic or arts participation. The deadline for applying is December 15th. The club accepts donations throughout the year to help fund the program.

Re: Central Florida Gliders Academic Scholarship Program Today, the Central Florida Gliders Track Club awarded scholarships of $250 to five (5) and $100 to one (1) Glider students in college and graduate school totaling $1,350.
