The Central Florida Gliders is a self-governing, self-supporting organization certified in the state of Florida as a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization and all donations are tax deductible. Athletes and their families may use fundraisers to help defray the cost of club registration and national championship participation.

The following are some fundraisers that parents and other Glider supporters may wish to organize:

  1. Soliciting tax deductible donations and associated matching funds if any.
  2. Soliciting uniform and/or equipment purchase sponsorship from local businesses
  3. Soliciting athlete sponsorship
  4. Operating bake sales, candy sales, sports equipment sales at meets, concessions, magazine subscription sales, etc.
  5. Operating car washes from a local parking lot with high traffic, e.g., Wal-Mart, Target, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Sam’s Clubs, Costco, Publix, Banks, etc., and requesting matching funds if available.
